We recommend that you book for the whole five weeks and come in the day before your course starts so you can get settled and meet anyone else who might be staying on the same course as you. You will get your schedule on your first day and then you can let us know if you wish to cancel any dates you may go home on days off. Normally you get the first weekend off but then after you may have to work weekends.

When new recruits book we try to put you all in the same house so you can study together. However if this can not be arranged you can walk through the back gardens to the other house.

Most training is held at the TBC which is near Hatton Cross.

Travelling to TBC

By Car - Will take you approximately 10mins

The closest post code for a Sat Nav is TW6 2PL, and this will take you to the top of Eastchurch Road. From there go round the roundabout and turn right onto Vanguard Way. Turn right at Vanguard House (1st grey building on right hand side).

On arrival you will need to park your car in the car park adjacent to Vanguard House then go into Vanguard House and report to the Global Learning Academy Pass Isuue Unit with your Passport or Photographic ID, after your pass has been issued you will be directed to the relevant car park.

By Bus - Will take you approximately 20mins

From outside the house you can catch either the 203, 555, or 557 (runs every 15mins) to Hatton Cross and then either walk from there (approximately 8mins) or get the BA1/BA5 staff shuttle bus. These run every 30mins and you will need a letter confirming your training to show the bus driver. When you arrive go to Vanguard House and report to the Global Learning Academy Pass Issue Unit with your Passport or Photographic ID, after your pass has been issued you will be directed to the corrrect entry point to go on the base.

The best app to download is Moovit they have live up to date timetables.

Obviously leave plenty of time for yourselves as you can not be late. It is always best to arrive as early as possible.

Qantas

These training courses differ from time to time. Usually 6 weeks and you get weekends off so most guests book Sunday - Thursday night, leaving Friday morning.

Some training will be held at Hammersmith (approximately 50mins away). You can get the bus from outside the house to Hatton Cross and then from there get on the Picadilly Line to Hammersmith.
